This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use PDF Toolkit, including PDF management, file organization, tagging, merging, page extraction, OCR text recognition, PDF creation, annotation, and related document tools.

By using PDF Toolkit, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Process

PDF Toolkit is designed to help you manage and edit PDF files locally on your device. Depending on how you use the App, we may process the following types of information:

1.1 PDF Files and Documents

When you open, import, scan, edit, merge, split, annotate, or manage PDF files, the App may process the content of those files to provide the requested features.

Your PDF files may contain personal, business, financial, legal, medical, or other sensitive information. PDF Toolkit processes such files only for the functions you choose to use.

1.2 Files Imported by You

You may choose to import PDFs, images, scans, receipts, contracts, or other documents from your device, file storage, or photo library.

The App only accesses files that you select or authorize. We do not access your unrelated files without your permission.

1.3 Camera and Scanned Documents

With your permission, the App may access your device camera to scan documents or create PDF files.

Camera access is used only for document scanning and related PDF creation features. We do not use the camera to identify you, record unrelated content, or collect biometric information.

1.4 OCR and Extracted Text

If you use OCR features, PDF Toolkit may process images or PDF pages to recognize and extract text.

The extracted text may be used to create new PDF files, improve document readability, or support other features you choose to use. Unless otherwise stated, OCR processing is performed locally on your device.

1.5 Categories, Tags, and File Organization Data

When you create folders, custom categories, color tags, or file organization structures, the App may store this information to help you manage your PDF library.

This data is used to organize, filter, and locate your files more efficiently.

1.6 Annotations and Editing Data

When you highlight, underline, draw, add notes, merge files, extract pages, or create new PDFs, the App may process and save the changes you make to your documents.

Such information is used only to provide editing, reading, saving, and file management features.

1.7 Device, Usage, and Diagnostic Information

To maintain and improve the App, we may collect limited technical information, such as device model, operating system version, app version, crash logs, performance data, feature usage data, and diagnostic information.

This information helps us improve app stability, fix bugs, and enhance the user experience.

2. How We Use Information

Your files, categories, tags, annotations, scan results, OCR results, and edited PDFs may be stored locally on your device unless you choose to export, share, back up, or transmit them outside the App.

We do not require you to upload your documents in order to use the core PDF management features.

Please be careful when importing, editing, sharing, or exporting files that contain sensitive information.

PDF Toolkit may request the following permissions:

5. Third-Party Services

PDF Toolkit may use third-party service providers to support certain functions, such as analytics, crash reporting, advertising, app performance monitoring, subscription management, or infrastructure services.

These third-party services may process limited information according to their own privacy policies.

If the App uses advertising or analytics services, such services may process device identifiers, usage data, approximate location, interaction data, or diagnostic data, depending on the service configuration and your device privacy settings.

We do not authorize third-party service providers to use your information for purposes unrelated to providing services to the App, except as permitted by law or with your consent.
